I’ve lived in
Woodbridge
for thirty years.
For twenty years, I led a national employment services organization dedicated to people with disabilities. I built a model that Deloitte, McMaster University and the City of Cleveland turned to for guidance. I wrote the manuals, trained the trainers and served as Special Advisor on workplace accessibility to Ontario’s Lieutenant Governor, David C. Onley. For three decades, I have worked to make institutions better serve the people they were never designed to include.

I want a Vaughan where a parent doesn’t think twice about their kid walking to school. Where a senior isn’t afraid of the phone ringing at night. The community you remember, and the future you deserve. I’m championing Neighbours Watching Neighbours — NWN. A properly coordinated, block-by-block network. Trained captains. A direct line into York Regional Police. Neighbours looking out for each other the way this city used to work — inspired by what the Guardian Angels built in New York, shaped for what Vaughan actually needs. And our seniors don’t get left behind. Property tax relief so they can stay in the homes they built. And when more care is needed, assisted living has to be three things: available, affordable, accessible. Right now it isn’t consistently any of them. That changes.

A clean city changes how people behave in it. When streets, parks, and transit are cared for, nobody feels comfortable throwing garbage on the ground or plastering signage on every pole. Pride is contagious. So is neglect. Cleaner streets. Cleaner transit. Cleaner corridors.
And traffic belongs in this conversation. Getting around Vaughan shouldn’t feel like a full-time job. We need a real plan for how residents actually move — one that respects the time you don’t have to give.

ACCOUNTABLE
Vaughan collects a serious amount of tax. The question is whether it’s landing where it should. I’ve spent my career building organizations, reading budgets, and asking hard questions about where the dollars go. That’s the lens I’m bringing to the Regional table. Every line matters. Every dollar is somebody’s rent, mortgage, or grocery bill. There’s real progress happening in this city on a lot of fronts — I want to say that plainly. This isn’t a burn-it-down campaign. It’s new blood to support what’s already working, and to push where things aren’t moving fast enough. Taxpayer money, taken seriously. That’s the job.
